For most new moms, two days post-childbirth goes something like this:

Wake up after 30 minutes' sleep and check that the baby is still alive. Cry from the pain of your nipples/C-section scar/stitches. Struggle to find the time to wash your face/brush your hair/change out of your pajamas. Wonder if you'll ever be able to leave the house again. Repeat ad infinitum.

Clearly Blake Lively is not most new moms, and we're kind of in awe of her. Only two days after giving birth to her second child, she attended the wedding of her best friend, and she looked frustratingly fresh-faced and gorgeous.

Frustratingly, because see above re washing face/brushing hair. But we're applauding Lively for swapping her pajamas for something way more glamorous and proving that having a newborn doesn't mean putting the rest of your life on hold.

If she can do it, so can we! (Maybe.)

Lively, 29, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, welcomed their second child in New York City last week, but no further details — including the sex and name of the baby — have been announced. And we could have a wait on our hands, because after the birth of the couple's first child, a daughter, it was a full two months before her name was revealed. Even then, this wasn't confirmed by the parents for another month, when Reynolds admitted that their daughter was called James on the Today show.

Reynolds explained that he didn't mind the name being made public but that he hadn't wanted to be the one to announce it, saying, "I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media. Because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls, and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'"
