Rosemarie DeWitt is a mom of two. In fact, she has been for a year, but only shared the news publicly this week. During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres to promote her new movie La La Land, DeWitt revealed that she and her husband, actor Ron Livingston, have adopted a second daughter together.

"She just turned 1 — I mean, she’s been with us for a year," said DeWitt. "Esperanza Mae, we call her ZaZa. She’s a little sweetheart."

ZaZa is little sister to 3-year-old Gracie James, whom the couple adopted in April 2013. Luckily, Gracie is happy with the new arrival. "They like each other a lot," DeWitt confirmed.

ZaZa is actually a name in its own right — it's of Hebrew origin and means "movement." But the baby's full name, Esperanza, is a classic Spanish girl name meaning "hope, expectation." It's growing in popularity and re-entered the U.S. top 1,000 list after a three-year absence — perhaps due to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding, who beat Justin Bieber to win the Best New Artist Grammy in 2011.

Esperanzas in pop culture include the main character in the novel The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, the song "Esperanza" by Enrique Iglesias and the wife of Zorro in The Mask of Zorro.
