Tony-winning performer, Supergirl actress and friend of SheKnows Laura Benanti and husband Patrick Brown are new parents! Broadway baby Ella Rose Benanti-Brown arrived yesterday. She was born at 3:33 p.m. clutching a pair of tap shoes and a playbill and singing "Memories" from Cats. Probably. Listen, if this baby gets any of her mom's stage genes, well, remember we called it first.
Benanti shared news of her pregnancy back in August, tweeting a photo of her and her husband reading What to Expect When You're Expecting. In an era when celebs are running out of ways to share their pregnancy news, we'll give them a 6 for creativity. Maybe a 7 because they're that cute.
“Doing a little research with @impbrown,” Benanti captioned the pic. “Coming this winter… #BabyGirlBrown.”

Benanti was one busy mom-to-be during her first trimester, heading up the Broadway revival of She Loves Me (for which she received her fifth Tony nomination) with Jane Krakowski and Zachary Levi. We also have a crush on Benanti for her single "I Like Musicals" — all the proceeds go to Save the Music, an organization committed to fostering and keeping music education in schools. Ella Rose, you scored a rockin' mom.
Of course, we'd be lying if we didn't say that Benanti's Melania Trump impression on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert pretty much sealed our girl crush on the actress.
