Updated Jan. 19, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. ET: Well, it's official. The moment we've all been waiting for is here: Kim Kardashian West just tweeted to announce the name of her third baby with Kanye West. Fans and critics and denizens of the internet everywhere, please welcome (*drum roll*) Chicago West.

That's right; little Chicago has joined her siblings North and Saint, bucking the one-syllable name trend and starting, apparently, a destination-based name trend of her own. Kardashian West hasn't yet spilled details on the name's inspiration, but, oh, boy, will the internet be debating this one until she does. And possibly a more pressing question: Does this mean the Kardashian Wests are moving?!

Original story, published Jan. 16, 2018: Talk about some thoroughly exciting news: Reports are coming in that Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed their third child, this one via surrogate, on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The past few months have been full of speculation — about who their surrogate is, about Kardashian West's decision to pursue surrogacy in the first place and even about the excited preparations of the couple's older children, North and Saint, for their new baby sister.

Kardashian West released an official statement on her app about the birth under the title "She's here!" Kardashian writes: "Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister."

Their baby girl, whose name hasn't been released to the public yet (but will no doubt be unveiled in a super-Kardashian way), was reportedly born on Jan. 15 at 12:47 a.m. Pacific and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces — are you cooing with delight yet?

It's been a long journey to this happy moment for Kardashian West and West. Since they confirmed they were expecting in October 2017, fans have enjoyed debating the surrogate's identity (many are still hoping it's Kylie Jenner — fat chance).

And of course, as with all things Kardashian-related, fans didn't hesitate to post their various hot takes, shady thoughts and colorful commentary on Twitter.

All speculation and jokes aside, it's time to start taking bets on what name Kardashian West and West have picked out for their daughter — because knowing them, it will be anything but conventional.
