Mother gives birth

At 42 weeks pregnant, Kristin Dickerson's water broke. She writhed and labored in the passenger seat while her husband sped through Houston toward the hospital. Troy Dickerson's GoPro, a hands-free video camera, caught her on tape as she screamed and insisted that they weren't going to make it to the hospital on time.

Just after 2 a.m., they pulled into valet parking area. Troy begged his wife to sit down in a wheelchair so they could head upstairs and have their baby. "Kristin, don't push yet, don't push!" he coached. But Kristin screamed, "His head is out! I'm not kidding!"

Within moments, Kristin delivered the baby with Troy's help and encouragement. It's a breathtaking, nerve-wracking moment. When I heard Troy saying, "He's perfect, he's perfect," over and over, I found myself wiping tears away. When you listen to these desperate parents' voices, you can feel every ounce of hope and fear — and unbelievable relief. Every birth is amazing, but this one is particularly heart-stopping. Fortunately it has a happy ending.

Truett, a healthy baby boy, joins big brothers Turner and Tillman. Kristin's takeaway as a childbirth educator? She's thrilled to have the birth on video. "I'm more hesitant to send it to people, because it's such an intimate moment for us," she told ABC News, "but as a birth educator, it's really cool to let people see that our bodies know what to do."
