Jill Duggar appears to be loving every minute of motherhood, as she shared new photos of her firstborn son, Israel David, as he turned 1 month old.

"Happy first month birthday to our handsome big guy!" she captioned the photo. "I hope and pray he grows up to be just like his daddy!"
Not to be outdone, Daddy Derrick Dillard also shared a snapshot of Israel staring sweetly into the camera as he wears a onesie that reads "just one year."

"Happy 1 month birthday to this little man! He is growing up so quickly; it seems like just yesterday he was crying and we were changing his diaper. Oh wait…," he captioned the photo.
The 19 Kids and Counting star was planning to have a natural home birth, but Israel was a week and a half overdue, and she required a hospital birth. In fact, she was in labor for 70 hours and eventually needed an emergency C-section. She labored at home for 48 hours before deciding to go to the hospital.
"I went to the bathroom, and I noticed some meconium staining on my pad, and usually that is a sign of fetal distress in the baby," the 23-year-old said. "It was more mild, so it was like, 'OK, he's not doing too well, but it's not an emergency at this point.'"
Once they arrived at the hospital, they discovered he was breech, or feetfirst, and Jill would need an emergency C-section.
Israel was born weighing in at 9 pounds, 10 ounces, and was actually a record-breaking baby for being the longest baby born at the hospital this year, as he measured in at 23 inches long.

"He's worth every contraction," she gushed. "Every pain that I had. All this long labor. Just getting to see that little baby and hold him. Everything… just all worth it."
