The 21-year-old reality star officially joined the two-kid club on Wednesday when she and her husband welcomed her daughter, Kylee Madison Cardwell, to the family. Kylee will join her big sister Kaitlyn Elizabeth as Cardwell's second child, but she's the first with Cardwell's husband, Michael — Kaitlyn is from a previous relationship.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch Mama June wasn't thrilled about her young daughter adding another member to the family at 21, but she seems to have come to grips with it and wanted to make one thing clear in regards to her newest granddaughter's name: It has nothing to do with a certain other reality TV family, the Kardashians. She also told Entertainment Tonight last week that Kylee's middle name is borrowed from the baby's paternal grandmother.
Kylee and any of its variants, like Kylie, are actually pretty popular choices as far as girls' names go. In fact, Kylie has remained securely in the top 100 female baby names ever since 2001, and while Kylee is a little less common, it's still pretty far up the list overall, sitting at about 213 on the Social Security Administration's list of popular girl names.

Parents seem to like these slight variations, since using the double "e" is one easy way for them to make their baby's name just a little more unique; it can stand in for "ie" or even "y," and the spelling sets the name apart while the pronunciation remains the same, like for Kaylee, Brynlee or even Mackenzee.
The name itself actually originates from an aboriginal word for "boomerang," which is quite fitting for this newest addition, given the tumultuous past few years the entire Honey Boo Boo clan has had.

Cardwell posted a picture of big sister Kaitlyn giving her little sis a squeeze on Instagram, saying, "Kaitlyn is the best big sister ever." She sure looks like she's loving being the big kid! Being a young mom is definitely a challenge, and adding another kid to the mix can up the ante, but the Cardwell foursome seems as happy as can be, and we wish them the best of luck!
