Got something to say about Chrissy Teigen? Then go say it to her husband, John Legend — if you’re brave enough.

Following the ridiculous fuss a couple of weeks ago after the couple left their newborn daughter, Luna, at home with a sitter to go out for dinner — Teigen copped most of the criticism, such as accusations that she wanted to "show off so bad" — Legend has used his Twitter account to share exactly how he feels about it.
"Funny there's no dad-shaming," he wrote. "When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. We'll split it."

The judgment of moms is seemingly never-ending, and it’s particularly rife online, when people can hide behind their screens and fire insults at people they don’t know without any risk of a comeback.
Why do people automatically shame the mom when there’s a dad in the picture who was equally responsible for the creation of the child and is equally responsible for its upbringing?
A few of Legend's Twitter followers responded to his tweet to point out that most of the time it's women shaming other women. Often moms shaming other moms. Don't we all recognize how hard motherhood can be? That we need to support one another in our choices — because we all make a hundred different choices every single day of our kids' lives? And that making a choice different from someone else's doesn't make it worse or better?
Even if Teigen had gone out with her girlfriends and left Legend at home to attend to his daughter, she still wouldn’t deserve any shaming. Because all parents — moms and dads — need a break now and then. Instead of splitting the shame between mom and dad, can’t we just cut it out altogether?
