Included in the recall are several versions of each the B-Safe 35 and B-Safe 35 Elite infant car seats and travel system. The issue isn't with it protecting the child in the car, but rather with the handle, which can crack and break. Obviously that could be potentially harmful to babies — the company has received one report of an infant who sustained a bump on the head when the carrier fell.

The seats were sold at Babies 'R' Us, Target, Amazon.com and elsewhere across the country between November 2014 and January 2016. This chart provides a list of those affected.

If yours is on the list, the company suggests you visit www.B-ReadyRecall.com to request a repair kit. In the meantime, stop carrying the seat by the handle. Once you receive the kit, follow the instructions on how to apply the zippered fabric cover and warning label. The seat is safe to use once those steps have been taken.
